S3 EP 5: Can You Take a Closer Look?

Welcome to Season 3 of Story Craft!

This season, we’re trying something brand new - we’re creating a story completely from scratch. In this first episode, we’ll be literally building the world our story will live in.

Throughout the season, we’ll write the story piece by piece, exploring different parts of the writing process - from idea to revision - and sharing tips and inspiration to help you tell your own stories along the way.

So whether you’re brand new to writing, a seasoned storyteller looking for fresh sparks, or somewhere in between - you’re in the right place.

On today's episode our guest Daren helps us zoom in on our story to find threads that need to be picked up, and holes that need patching. Daren uses his vast knowledge of fantasy stories and long history of storytelling through roleplaying games to give us insight to where we can strengthen our story, as well as find good opportunities to weave the magic and lore of our world in seamlessly. All of this work prepares us for creating Act III on our next episode.
